And it’s yet again that time of the year where, here in Coonawarra we celebrate all things Cabernet!
We have lots going on at the Brand's Laira cellar door for the month of October, with plenty to do for everyone. To all the wine enthusiasts, foodies, families and friends, join us during the month of October at Brand's Laira to CELLARbrate our region’s best - CABERNET!

Live it up! It’s the long weekend @ Brand’s Laira
Enjoy a delicious Ploughman's platter on our beautiful lawns or under one of our magnificent trees whilst you sip on a glass of one of our award winning wines.
The kids can play, run and eat icy poles while you relax and enjoy the surrounds, and most importantly our wines!
We do have an electric BBQ if you want to throw on a snag for the kids! Keeping everyone happy this long weekend!

SNEAKY PEEK - 2016 VINTAGE - LONG WEEKEND ONLY (5th-7th October)
Be among the first to taste the 2016 Vintage, as Brand's Laira opens a couple of bottles of the yet to be released 2016 vintage. An exclusive sneak preview for Cabernet Celebration attendees- THIS WEEKEND ONLY!!

Did you miss Cellar Dwellers in July? Were you holidaying in the sunny state of QLD avoiding the chill of our SA winter?
Well, you really missed out!
You missed tasting a wine no longer made, but still manages a mention in Cellar Door.
This weekend we will pop into the Wine Library and dust off a couple of vintages of the Cabernet Merlot to show you. This could possibly be the last time we can bring out this wine for tasting.

Valenche – Also known as a ‘Wine Thief’ is a piece of equipment used to sample wine from a barrel
Hogshead or Puncheon – Different sizes of oak barrels
Cabernet Sauvignon – Grape variety used to make table wine, usually stored in oak barrels for fermentation and maturation
This weekend Brand's Laira will have barrel tastings on so, go test your pallet and see if you can taste the difference between new oak,used oak and the length of time the wine has been barreled.

Pink Up Penola in October 2019 is being held in conjunction with the McGrath Foundation to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research and support.

Unleash your inner artist at the upcoming Sydney and Melbourne Night Noodle Markets with exclusive Brand’s Laira Paint & Sip
After a sell-out success in Brisbane, our Paint & Sip sessions are back!
The exclusive 2-hour sessions will run over a series of evenings during the Sydney and Melbourne Night Noodle Markets, happening in October and November respectively.
With a glass of delicious Brand’s Laira wine in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, attendees will create their own Coonawarra inspired masterpiece, under the expert direction of an artist.
Brand’s Laira will also provide class attendees with the best tastes from the sizzling neighbouring Asian food stalls to fuel their paintbrush action and pair with their glass of Brand’s Laira wine.

En-Primeur: As Part of the month long Coonawarra Cabernet Celebrations, join us for one weekend only for exclusive barrel tastings. Come test your pallet and see if you can taste the difference between new oak, used oak and the length of time the wine has been barrelled.

Good Food Month is making its way around the country and following successful events in Canberra and Perth earlier this year, the much anticipated event landed in Brisbane.
Brisbane Good Food Month kicked off at the beginning of July with the Night Noodle Markets taking place from July 19th – 30th at the Cultural Food Court in Southbank.
It was the perfect location to unveil the much anticipated pop-up Cellar Door created to bring the best of Coonawarra to Brisbane’s wine and food lovers.
The opening night was hosted by Brand’s Laira Chief Winemaker Peter Weinberg. The space was the perfect place to soak up the atmosphere whilst sipping and savouring the flavours of Brand’s Laira alongside an exciting array of Asian cuisine and special entertainment.
The Brand’s Laira pop-up Cellar Door hosted Brisbane’s finest food and wine bloggers, writers, photographers and social influencers all excited to bask in the atmosphere and flavours of the Coonawarra.

In an exciting announcement for Brand’s Laira we are very proud to announce we are the official Wine Partner for Good Food Month for the next three years!
The partnership with Good Food Month is a wonderful opportunity for Brand’s Laira to bring ‘Coonawarra to the people’ as part of Australia’s largest and only truly national food and wine festival.
With over 1,000 events across five cities (Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne/Perth/Canberra) annually, it’s an enticing program of food and drink events featuring Australia's best chefs, restaurants, wine experts and food producers.
The first of this amazing series was held at the Brisbane Night Noodle Markets in July at the Cultural Food Court in Southbank.
This was the first time the Brand’s Laira pop-up Cellar Door was unveiled. It truly was bringing ‘Coonawarra to the people’.
