Favourite Coonawarra Wines from Brand’s Laira Mothers

03rd May 2021 | Written by client

Join us as we catch up with some of the incredible mums around our Coonawarra winery to see what their favourite Brand’s Laira wine is.

What is your favourite BL wine and why?

Amy Blackburn, Winemaker and mother of 4 year old Theodore

My favourite Brand’s Laira wine is our 1968 Vines Cabernet Sauvignon, because it is powerful and concentrated yet elegant, and lends itself to pairing with so many different foods (or great on its own!).

Sam Flint, Cellar Door & Administration Manager and mother of two girls

Old Station Riesling because it’s just so damn good! You can have it on its own or it pairs beautifully with everything. It’s just a good every day style of Riesling.

Karen Tonkin, Laboratory Technician and mother to Nic and Lucy

As I have only been here a bit over a month, I have yet to taste all of the Brand’s Laira wines. I am currently working my way through the list. So far the Blockers Chardonnay would be my top pick, it looks very smart!!

If you’re looking for things to do in Coonawarra for Mother’s Day, join us for a Coonawarra wine tasting at our Coonawarra Cellar Door.
