2020 Blockers Cabernet Merlot

Named in honour of founder Eric Brand, one of the original ‘Blockers’ (landholders who sold their grapes to larger wineries in the 1950s and 60s). The warm days and cool nights of 2020 provided superior ripening conditions leading to wines with excellent varietal characters.  Our Blockers Cabernet Merlot exhibits excellent fruit concentration, high colour density and a firm but fine tannin profile.

WINEMAKERS NOTES

A deep crimson-red colour. Vibrant cassis, plum and mulberry fruit aromas accompanied by subtle cedar notes. The palate is plush with dark berry fruit and a well-integrated nutty cedar oak and fine silky tannins. Enjoy a long smooth finish.
