2025 Old Station Sauvignon Blanc
Old Station was named in honour of the first single track rail line which opened in Coonawarra in 1887 and today borders one of our most important vineyards, the ‘Station Vineyard’. This range was created to highlight the diversity of the Coonawarra region through classic varietals. Available exclusively through the Brand’s Laira Cellar Door.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
Pale straw in colour with delicate green-gold glints, this wine presents a bright and youthful appearance. The bouquet is expressively lifted, opening with zesty Meyer lemon, vibrant green apple, and subtle pear, layered with tropical hints of passionfruit and guava. Fresh-cut grass and a touch of flinty minerality reflect its Coonawarra origins. On the palate, it is crisp and elegantly structured, driven by a lively acid backbone that carries citrus and orchard fruits through to tropical notes. A subtle touch of green pineapple and tomato leaf echo the nose, while excellent tension and a clean, mineral finish leave a refreshingly herbal lift.
Best enjoyed within the next 3 years.
